Saturation adjusts the intensity of all the colors in a photo. Increasing it makes colors look more bold and vibrant. Decreasing it mutes them—or turns the image black and white if set to zero. Be careful with saturation—it's easy to go overboard and make things look unnatural. It's best used after exposure and contrast are dialed in.
